Terms and Conditions
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (the or these “Terms & Conditions”) govern your use of web site (the “Site”) and you the customer’s (‘you’ and ‘your’ in these Terms & Conditions) relationship with and any acceptance by us of any offer from you to purchase goods from World Wine Online Ltd., (“WWO” - also referred to as ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ in these Terms & Conditions) the operator of the site. Please read them carefully because they affect your rights and liabilities under the law.

By using or accessing the Site, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, please do not register as an authorised user and do not use the Site.

Use of The Site
The Site is provided for your personal use subject to your agreement to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. It is our sincere wish that you feel comfortable and confident in your use of the site and your dealings with us. If you wish to clarify any item in these Terms & Conditions, please email before making a purchase. Please note that these Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

We may choose to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time but any changes will be posted on the Site and we shall use our reasonable endeavours to notify you via the email address that you provide when you register as an authorised user, or by announcements on the Site.

Privacy Policy
By providing your details to us on The Site at time of ordering, you consent to us maintaining, holding and using such details for the purposes of processing your orders and maintaining and improving our service to you. This may include sending you details of various products and initiatives that we believe may be of interest to you. We collect and maintain all data in accordance with the requirements of The Data Protection Act 1998.

Your personal details will only be passed to other companies who are by necessity involved in processing and fulfilling your orders and will not be passed to any other third party for any reason.

The prices payable for goods that you order are clearly set out in the Site. Should we have inadvertently mispriced an item on the Site, we will not be liable to supply the item at the stated price, prior to our acceptance of your order. All prices are expressed inclusive of UK excise duty and VAT but do not include delivery charge applicable at the time of despatch to you. Delivery charges will be calculated automatically and added to the total price payable before you confirm your order.

Availability & Unforeseen Circumstances
If for any reason we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible so that you may choose to modify or cancel your order.

There will be no contract between you and us unless and until we actually despatch goods to you. Up until the moment of despatch, we may decline to supply goods to you without giving a reason. At the moment of despatch, and not before, a contract will be made between you and us and you will be charged for the goods. WE CANNOT SELL ALCOHOLIC DRINKS TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS. ACCORDINGLY, WE MAY REFUSE ANY ORDER AT OUR DISCRETION.

We only deliver to addresses within UK. Delivery will be made to the address given by you on the completed on-line order form, normally within 28 days. However, we will not be liable for loss occasioned by delay arising from any cause outside our reasonable control.

All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over and if no one of that age is available when delivery is attempted, the driver, who will leave a notification of attempted delivery and who will telephone or return later, may retain the goods. We will not accept liability should we inadvertently deliver to a person under 18 years of age. If the driver has to make a special journey to effect delivery a second or subsequent time, a further delivery charge may be made.

You agree to inspect your consignment upon delivery and to notify us by email to within 3 working days should items be damaged or of incorrect type or quantity. You also agree to retain the defective consignment for our inspection and collection. We will use our best endeavours to rectify problems and to replace items or refund as appropriate. If it is obvious that the consignment is incorrect or has been damaged, you should refuse delivery.

You have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason up until the date of despatch to you and for up to 14 days following the day on which goods are delivered to you. If the goods have already been despatched to you when we receive your notice of cancellation, you must make the goods available for collection by us, and we will credit your credit or debit card for the price of the goods, within 30 days of our receipt of the cancellation notice. Unfortunately, because we try to keep our prices as low as possible, we are unable to reimburse the cost of delivery and will charge, at cost, for the return of the goods to our premises in Faversham.

If you do not make the goods available for collection by us within 14 days of your cancellation, we will make a charge in respect of the recovery of the goods. If you do not make the goods available for collection by us within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods at which point a new contract will exist between you and us and if necessary your credit or debit card will be redebited with the price of the goods.

You can pay by any one of a number of popular credit and debit cards by means of our secure payment system. Authority for payment must be given at time of completing the order form and your payment will be debited from your card account on or before dispatch of the goods to you. Our total liability to you will not exceed the total price of the relevant items.

Retention of Title & Risk
The goods shall remain WWO’s property and title to the goods remains with WWO until you have paid for them in full.

Unless otherwise specified the materials published on the Site are presented solely for your personal and non-commercial use. Our Site is controlled and operated by us from our offices in Faversham, Kent. You assume total responsibility and risk for your use of the Site and use of all information contained within it. All statements, recommendations, advice and opinions expressed on the Site or in any WWO brochures or correspondence are made in good faith on the basis of information available to WWO at the time. WWO will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential losses whatsoever incurred by you following reliance upon such statements.

WWO makes no warranties, express or implied that making the goods available in any particular jurisdiction outside the UK is permitted under any applicable non-UK laws or regulations. Accordingly, if making the goods available in your jurisdiction or to you (by reason of nationality, residence or otherwise) is prohibited, those goods are not offered for sale to you. You accept that if you are resident outside the UK, you must satisfy yourself that you are lawfully able to purchase the goods. WWO accepts no liability, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for any costs, losses or damages resulting from or related to the purchase or attempted purchase of the goods by persons in jurisdictions outside the UK or who are nominees of or trustees for citizens, residents or nationals of other countries.

WWO’s total liability in respect of any transaction under these Terms & Conditions will not exceed the value of the relevant goods.
